Don't you look at Sansa like that.....

Alright, a great new picture from HBO, but I have just two complaints.  First, Arya, don't you dare threaten Sansa like that!!!  Second, why oh WHY HBO, can't you show us the same shot from the side, or any other angle that would give us a full view of Sansa?  You know what your audience wants, why do you insist on torturing us?

  1. I love your blog! I'm so excited for the new show it's kind of becoming a problem. But don't hate on Arya too much -- Maisie is too cute! I can't wait to see all of them.

Looking forward to more pictures/updates. I'm sure they will start rolling out the big press soon. I live in New York, and right now there are Big Love posters everywhere. I'm hoping "A Game of Thrones" gets similar treatment!

  2. Thanks Bess for checking out this little site! I'm definitely not hating on Arya - I love the casting of Maisie, and I absolutely love her character in the books. I'm just a fully committed Sansa fan at this point. I really thought she was a great (and somewhat tragic) character in the books, but I am in awe already of how perfectly cast Sophie is in this role. I think the two girls are going to be awesome to watch together (despite the dwindling shared screen time in the future).
I'm certainly hoping AGOT gets the royal treatment everywhere as we get close to opening night; and I hope I can find more Sophie/Sansa shots then too.

  3. Couldn't agree more! George left us with quite the cliffhanger with her. It was quite ingenious how he developed her; she seems so frivolous at first, but really she is just a sweet, naive girl in a violent world, but she is so changed -- and for the better I think -- by her harsh circumstances, instead of being corrupted by them, as so many of the charactersnare. I love arya, but i do think her plot is more interesting than she is, while sansa alone is interesting. Anyway, of course the casting was PERFECT.

Will be watching your site! Keep up the good work!

  4. Great job on starting this blog, and I look forward to getting more updates in the months and hopefully years to come! I am another Sansa fan and every new photo and info further convinces me that Sophie is brilliantly cast in the role; hers is the performance I probably look forward to the most in the show. I would just like to point out that there is, in fact, a full shot of Sansa from the very same scene, and it was released on the HBO site prior to this pic. You can now find it on WiC.net.

    Keep up the good work!

  5. Thanks Sylvana - I couldn't agree more about Sophie and this role. I believe I already have the picture you refer to, which I posted here in one the first posts. I'm just begging HBO for even more.

  6. Yes, that's the one... I missed the page with the older posts, and the way you phrased the complaint made me think you hadn't seen it. I personally love that pic, even more so since getting this one and seeing the reason for Sansa's (appropriately) annoyed expression. So very true to their relationship from the books.

At any rate, I fully share your desire for more material, especially since Sophie is the only member of the main cast we didn't hear in trailers or interviews yet. My personal wish is for her to get an Artisans video focusing on her character, similar to Maisie's, that would be quite perfect :)
